An absolutely brilliant app! While it might first seem to cost a pretty penny, its definitely worth every single cent. Runs smoothly and have not experienced any bugs whatsoever. I use bitdefender for my phones as well and I have nothing but praise for this outstanding and, unfortunately, still little known Romanian software developer. Keep up the good work guys!

So far, this has been be an excellent product. There is very little impact on the system when using "Continuous Scan". The authors have enough confidence in the tools efficiency to show activity graphically on their console. Optional browser plug-ins prevent infections before they can start. Virus Scanner Plus also finds problems other tools overlook.

Not too happy with the fact that I paid for this app that generates multiple crash alerts daily. Is my Mac really protected?

after i update the last one my app stop working and i did not know way so i buy the one for mac form their web set after i try many time to install and uninstall but it’s not working i hope there fix this problem or back my mony

I love this app even though many other virus scanners have found issues on my Mac not a single one has removed them, INCLUDING this one. HOWEVER unlike the other ones this app allowed ME to find it in Finder and personally remove the issue. If I could I would give this app a 10 out of the possible 5 for reliablity and ease of use. WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY.

All this stupid app did was try to sell me a even more expensive form of this same crappy program! Adware it still on my computer and now I am $29.99 out of pocket and tons of wasted time!!

Often I hear people say no, MAC’s do not get Versus or Malware, however, usually this is the same people that say they live in a good neighborhood but they still lock the doors and do not leave keys in the car. I guess Im under the impression its a good idea to have antivirus. You do what you can to keep yourself off the easy list for criminals. The Virus or Malware I am most afraid of is the one I do not know about on my system. Is Bitdefender Plus the best? I dont know the answer to that, however, I have installed it with confidence they will work hard to keep their software updated and help keep my system safe.

tried to get the NFL game on my Mac, in the process of using a cut rate website, I picked up the most annoying ad malware ever. I always tried to take me to a clean my mac website, among others. In frustration I downloaded the free version of bit defender, so I took a chance on the full version, after all my time is worth more than the $30 I threw at this. after I did a scan and secure trash, everything seemed to disappear. So far this is well worth the money, and stay away from cut rate NFL sites. :0

Initally I had installed another free home-edition AV solution (not available in the App Store) that starts with the letter “S”, and had been running that for years. On my corporate environment that other product isn’t considered acceptable, so I went looking in the App Store for something else. Bitdefender has done a far more effective job at proactively finding Windows viruses that apparently had been sitting dormat on my Mac as email attachments that the other product never found, *even with a manual scan*. To a certain extent, Bitdefender is finding these to an annoyance - attachments to emails that only exist in my Time Machine backups from months ago keep popping up on a daily basis as being a ‘problem’. I don’t mind the annoyance, as it’s building my confidence in this product at protecting my system.

So glad I downloaded the application. Had a deep clean with my mac and deleted a lot of the trojans and viruses that I collected overtime. Some other malware were identified but failed to be deleted, but easily deleted manually. I would have paid more than $29.99 to clean my macbook but it definitely did the job. Exactly what I needed

Didn’t even delete any virus it found and would not let me find it in my finder. $30 is a lot for something that doesn’t work properly.

I’m definitely infected with malware. Clicking on anything in Safari or Firefox brings up ad after ad. Tried the free version put out by this company. It found and deleted three adware files, but didn’t solve the problem. Encouraged by the partial success, I took the plunge and spent the $30 to get this version. I should have saved my money. After doing a “deep system scan” it determined my system was free of any adware, malware, or viruses. So I’m out $30 (which would have been a reasonable price for a virus scanner that worked) and still have to find a way to fix the problem. I should have been warned by the small number of reviews for this product. Lesson learned.

Had gotten some adware/malware from some web page. tried to clean it myself, deleting history uninstall browsers etc. Chrome/Safari but didn’t work. Installed this program and it found and removed in 2 min. worth the $30 to get rid of it and a little peace of mind.

I had a frozen Imac as a result of a virus attack through the internet. My Safari browser was totally taken over and wouldn’t allow me to do anything. I first got the Bitdefender which was free and it didn’t help. I then purchased the Bitdefender plus and it likewise didn’t do anything. For Safari, one had to download an extra into Safari through the Bitdefender site. The had not mentioned that until I had already bought Bitdefender. With Safari locked up nothing could be loaded from Bitdefenders site as an add on. So finally, with the help of Apple care we managed to get the Imac back on track taking about two hours of work to finally get in and get rid of the infected cache and all the history. Bitdefender was a total waste of money and only helped slow down the overall performance of my Imac after it was cleaned up and running. I wouldn’t buy it again. Now that I have it, it remains to be seen whether it will prevent further attacks. I will hope so.

I first purchased antivirus sentinal pro and didn’t understand how it worked or what it did even after talking to customer service, it just scanned and it didnt look for or delete bad stuff. This program did all that, scanning, deleting bad stuff, letting you manually delete if it couldn’t, and it came with a free safari scanning device and a few other cool things. I think its worth it as long as it doesnt slow down my computer which it has not done, but i have only had it for one day

The popup window at startup is super annoying. Please allow us to turn that off!!!! Nobody wants an automatic popup window when they start their machine!

I know I have malware; this application in the other hand, says otherwise. Don’t bother purchasing this flawed application.
